Not very bad
The book becomes more interesting each time I read it. I guess I like this book. There are the events, in the book that I can talk about that are very interesting, but the events that I find most significant are chapters 23, 25, 26, and 28, which I call the flashback chapters. I find them the most interesting, because they explain the history of Camp Green Lake, and about the famous outlaw; Kissin’ Kate Barlow. She was once a school teacher, who lived in the town at Green Lake; and Green Lake, was a lake back then, lush with green and water. Kate Barlow was happy back then, but she was driven mad by the murder of her love, and basically lost her mind, since then not one drop of rain fell on Green Lake, and for the next 20 years after that, Kate robbed, and killed anyone that got in her way, making her the most feared outlaw in the West.
The characters problems are another thing, there are so many problems that it’s hard to keep track, but I can name a few. Stanley has the worst luck ever, all because his Good for nothing pig stealing great, great grandfather made a terrible mistake. Then there is Stanley’s best friend Zero, who was abandoned by his mother when he was young, he does not know how to read and write. There is the Warden, who runs Camp Green Lake, whose family has been searching for treasure ever since she was a child. And also, as I said before; Kate Barlow, who lost the love of her life and was driven mad by grieve and despair. Kind of feel sad for all these people huh.
